Dad “Trains” Son For Football

Many parents get serious about having their sons and daughters train for a sport that could lead to a big time career.  But this Dad from Texas may be taking his football training with his son just a little too far.

There are pushy parents and competitive parents, but a video has surfaced of a father forcing his young son (maybe age 5?) to run along-side his car for football training.  The father, a man from Texas, can even be heard shouting obscenities at the young boy about how he needs to run faster.

You can hear dear ole’ Dad say,

This is how we train for football. Daddy drives and you run. Now get your little a** in shape!

Watch as Dad films the car doing 8 miles an hour, and then realizes that it’s not quite good enough.  He yells,

Come on. Faster Yates. You’re running like old Brian Yates. He ain’t worth a s***, an old slow son of a b****. Pick it up!

At one point during the video, the little boy says he’s going as fast as he can, but that’s not quite good enough for Dad, who says,

I don’t want to hear your excuses. If you wanna play for the Cowboys pick that s*** up!

The little boy stops as they get closer to their driveway, claiming that his hip hurts.  But that’s not good enough for Dad, as he tells him,

I don’t want to hear about no excuses.

Not wanting to disappoint his Dad, the boy starts running down their driveway, only to have his Dad following just feet behind him. As Dad honks at his up-and-coming Pro-Bowler, you can hear him say

That’s right, I’ve got him up a whole gear. We got him up to 10 now.  Better hurry up!

Pretty sure that little boy was never so relieved to get home as he was after that “football training”.  Just remember dear ole’ Dad….someday that little boy will be bigger than you!
