Cyndi Lauper has shared her first country music video. The fun clip is for "Funnel of Love," the first single off of her upcoming Detour album.

Detour is a collection of covers of country songs from the 1940s, '50s and '60s. "Funnel of Love," the record's first track, was written by Charlie McCoy and Kent Westbury, and released by Wanda Jackson in 1961; it did not chart.

Filmed in Pioneertown, Calif., at the restaurant Pappy & Harriet's, Lauper's "Funnel of Love" video has a definite retro vibe. It opens with old-school-looking footage of the small town, and similar shots are interspersed throughout. During the clip, Lauper is shown performing "Funnel of Love" onstage, as well as exploring around town. The video closes as Lauper rides away in the sidecar of a motorcycle -- a direct nod to her disc's cover.

On May 9, Lauper will kick off a global tour in support of Detour. The trek will begin in Nashville, at the Ryman Auditorium, and stop in 27 cities in the U.S. and overseas before wrapping up in Paris, France, on July 11. A list of all of Lauper’s tour stops can be found on her official website.
