It's the final road game of the Summit League regular season for South Dakota, one final chance to prove that this team is just as capable of winning away from Vermillion as they are in the DakotaDome.

The confidence South Dakota built up with three straight home wins was shaken a bit by a slow start in Omaha Thursday night.

The Coyotes will try to salvage a split on the road this weekend when the travel to Western Illinois Saturday.

The Leathernecks won the first meeting by ten last month in Vermillion on the strength of 13 3-pointers.  Michelle Maher made seven of those.

It's a familiar theme for coach Amy Williams' team: defend the perimeter better in the second half of the Summit League schedule:

Tipoff is Saturday at 4:30pm in Macomb.
