The question has come up from time to time about how much a singer makes from a number one hit. Can a one hit wonder earn enough to retire?
In most cases, the answer is no. But there have been exceptions for a single song's earning power.

It was so popular worldwide, it had to be translated in over 100 different languages. I remember when it was new in 1992, people didn't even know the title, they would request hearing the Achy Breaky song.
