In country Music, certain songs are indelibly connected to certain artist's.  The songs aren't only classics, they're signature songs.

For example, 'Kiss An Angel Good Morning' is Charley Pride.

'Hello Darlin'' is Conway Twitty.

'He Stopped Loving Her Today' is George Jones.

And 'Mama Tried' is Merle Haggard.

But that doesn't mean one Country Legend can't sing another Country Legend's classic.  And in some cases, sing it good!

Let's Criss/Cross a signature hit and have the iconic Man In Black, Johnny Cash, sing that haggard Classic 'Mama Tried' and see what happens.

But of course, there's nothing like the original.  'Mama Tried' will always be the Merle Haggard classic, and here's why.
