Colton Iverson was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 53rd pick in the 2nd Round of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Boston traded with the Indiana Pacers to get the 53rd pick and if the proposed trade sending Paul Pierce, Jason Terry and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets holds pat, Iverson will get quality minutes if he does make the roster this season.

The fact that he is 7 feet tall certainly will help his cause to make the team this year, but more so, his offensive rebounding skills and ability to adapt to the NBA game defensively are keys to his success.

Iverson, a South Dakota native, started his college career at the University of Minnesota and transferred to Colorado State where he flourished.

In his senior season at Colorado State, Colton Iverson was named first-team All-Mountain West.

He averaged nearly a double-double at 14.2 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game, and helped CSU to an NCAA Tournament bid and a opening round win over Missouri.

One thing is clear.  You can't teach length and height and not to mention determination and Colton Iverson has all of those attributes.
