PRINGLE, S.D. (AP) — A wildfire that burned about 3 square miles in the Black Hills National Forest area of western South Dakota is now fully contained.

The Great Plains Fire Information office says crews battling the Cold Fire reached 100 percent containment on Saturday.

The fire was first reported a week earlier east of Pringle. At times, 200 personnel were on scene.

No structure damage or injuries were reported and no evacuations were ordered, though state Highway 87 was shut down for a time. The cause of the fire wasn't immediately determined.
