Teenagers Recover from Fall into Icy Currents at Split Rock River

Two Teenagers are fortunate to be safe after a close call at McHardy Park in Brandon on Tuesday March 17, 2015.

Officer Palmer has the details. “They were just playing down by the river and slipped and fell off the bank or slid in off the bank.  They weren’t hurt and they were two females, 13-years old.”

Initial reports indicated the girls were able to get out of the water on their own but suffered from mild hypothermia and muscle cramping.
