Classic TV Memory: Movin’ On

Ahhh…the open road.  The 18-wheeler.  The freedom, the fun, the adventure.  It would have been good to have been Will or Sonny.

From 1974 to 1976 we took a weekly ride with those two on ‘Movin’ On’.  Claude Akins and Frank Converse portrayed Will and Sonny every week on NBC.

Will the show go down in TV history as one of the best ever?  Nope.  And that’s OK.  It was still exciting and fun!

And the theme song?  Well, that theme became a major Country Music hit, sung by the legendary Merle Haggard.

So let’s go ahead, you and I, and take at least a quick trip again with Will and Sonny.
