The Legendary Jim Reeves Sings One Of His Greatest Classics

Gentleman Jim Reeves was born August 30th 1923 in Galloway, Texas. With his first recordings in the early 1950′s, Jim quickly established himself as one of the great country crooners in history.

Jim’s first number one hit was “Mexican Joe” in 1953. He quickly followed with great hits like “Bimbo”, “Four Walls”, “Billy Bayou” and so many more.

Here, Jim is on stage singing one of his hits, “I Love You Because”, from 1964.

We lost Jim Reeves in an airplane crash in 1964. He was only 40 years old. But thankfully, his music…his voice…live on. Enjoy Gentleman Jim Reeves.
