August 23rd was set to be a happy day for former Minnesota Twins second baseman Chuck Knoblauch. Now, that day will just be another day following his arrest and cancellation of his Twins hall of fame induction.

According to Rhett Bollinger of MLB, Knoblauch was arrested Wednesday for assaulting his ex wife leading to the cancellation of his induction. Twins President Dave St. Peter tells Bollinger that there are no plans to reschedule the induction.

Knoblauch played 12 seasons in the MLB, including other stints with the New York Yankees (1998-2001), and Kansas City Royals (2002). He had a career average of .289, 1,839 hits, and 407 stolen bases.
