Do not put your Christmas tree in the garbage - recycle it. The Christmas tree drop-off sites are open in Sioux Falls, and that is the proper way to discard this year's holiday tree.

There are two drop-off sites in the city. One is located at 1015 East Chambers Street just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and the other is just west of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The driveway just north of the railroad crossing will be the only access point.

The sites are open daily from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Saturday and Noon - 5:00 PM on Sundays from December 26, 2016 through January 15, 2017.

There is no fee for residential loads. No commercial loads. All accessories, including lights, ornaments, decorations and stands must be removed from the tree. Artificial trees are not accepted.
