Don't be that person who every year says "what are we going to do with the relatives during Christmas."

Good grief, look around you. If you can't enjoy each other then crawl out of your cave and show the in-laws and out-laws what fun and exciting things we have here in Sioux Falls.

If it's too cold to be outside the Washington Pavilion has an active schedule of events and programming for families to enjoy during the holiday break.

From movies to science to art, the Kirby Science Discovery Center and the Visual Arts Center are offering a variety of activities.

The popular holiday movie, “The Polar Express” will be showing at the Wells Fargo CineDome throughout the holiday break. A second holiday movie “The Light Before Christmas” is also available along with several mission films including the new Amazon Adventure movie.

And something that doesn't happen all that often are Stage Science Demonstrations for all ages.

If the kids need to spend some of that energy they can take part in the Art Scavenger Hunts to enjoy and explore the exhibitions.

And looking ahead the Washington Pavilion is having a kid-friendly Balloon Drop on December 31st 2017 at 5:00 PM.
