PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Charges continue to mount against a former South Dakota county prosecutor accused of child rape.

Former Walworth County State's Attorney Christopher Jansen had been charged earlier in state court in Hughes County with three counts of rape involving a child younger than 13. KCCR radio reports that Jansen now has been indicted by a grand jury on six counts of first-degree rape in that county.

The 34-year-old Selby resident also faces federal charges related to sexually exploiting a minor and videotaping the encounters.

Jansen hasn't entered pleas to any of the charges. Defense attorney Joan Powell has declined comment. Jansen is being held without bond.
