PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice David Gilbertson has reappointed the presiding judges in the state's seven judicial circuits.

The presiding judges are administrative heads of their respective circuits.

Gilbertson reappointed the presiding judges after he was recently elected by the other Supreme Court justices to a new four-year term as chief justice.

Reappointed as presiding judges were Steven R. Jensen in the 1st Circuit, Lawrence E. Long in the 2nd Circuit, Tim D. Tucker in the 3rd Circuit, Warren G. Johnson in the 4th Circuit, Jack R. Von Wald in the 5th Circuit, John L. Brown in the 6th Circuit, and Jeff W. Davis in the 7th Circuit.
