The Minnesota Wild and Charlie Coyle have agreed on a new five year extension that will keep the forward with the team through 2020.

Coyle has had a successful career in the NHL, posting 20 goals in two seasons with the Wild. He has appeared in 107 games for Minnesota and has also assisted on 24 goals.

In a statement released on Wednesday, General Manager Chuck Fletcher says he is excited for the future with Coyle.

“We’re very excited to get Charlie Coyle signed through the 2019-20 season...Charlie’s size, overall skill set, and character give him a chance to emerge as a top power forward in the game and we’re happy he will be doing that in the State of Hockey for years to come.”

The contract details have not been released, outside of being for five years. For more information, and for the full release, click here.
