He may be the most memorable name in the history of Hollywood movie making.

Chaplain's first full length movie was 1921's 'The Kid' (featured in the video above).  His last was in 1967, 'A Countess In Hong Kong'.  In between, he made Hollywood history.

Chaplin directed, produced, edited, scored and starred in most of his films.  In other words, he was in control.  Whatever you saw on the screen, it came from the genius of Charlie Chaplin.

Charlie Chaplin died in 1977 at the age of 88.
