Cash Found, Is It Yours?

It is not unusual to hear a story of someone finding a lost wallet with money inside. And then the happy ending of the story where they turn it over to the police with the cash intact.

But this story goes way beyond just a wallet found. This time a safe full of cash has been found.

It raises the question of how in the world do you lose a safe? It happened in Ankeny, Iowa. A man found it Tuesday morning next to a street.

He turned over to police. The police say the money inside is packed in a certain way that could only be identified by the rightful owner.

So far, the owner hasn't come forward. Several people have called in asking if the money was theirs.
