At the 'ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops' taping last month Carrie Underwood debuted a brand new song called 'Keep Us Safe.' She wrote the song especially for the moment, saying it was applicable to the troops, their families and ... well everyone.

"Even just someone going through something big," she said before the show. Watch her talk even more about what the performance means to her in the above video.

Proceeds from the song will go to the ACM Lifting Lives Foundation. It's not available for download yet, and fans will have to wait until the May 20 CBS broadcast to hear it.

Underwood is said to be writing for a new album, but it's not clear if 'Keep Us Safe' will be included on that project, her fifth studio album. Additional country performers at the Las Vegas event are Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith, Keith Urban and the Band Perry. It was filmed on April 7, one day after the 2014 ACM Awards. Fans will get to see active military personnel jam on stage with some of their favorite artists.
