Three players for Sioux Falls (0-1) stood out as Scotty Hopson led all scorers with 30 points, Larry Drew II put up 17 and Andre Dawkins added 14 on a combined 26 of 42 from the floor. The rest of the team was not as proficient sporting a 10 of 34 performance.

Canton definitely had the stroke with 27 points and 12 rebounds from James Singleton. Following closely was Joe Harris on assignment from NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and his 24 tallies and 11 caroms. As a team the Charge shot a sizzling 47-87 from the field.

Another point to consider is Canton’s ability to dominate Sioux Falls on the glass in the regular season. The Charge’s mastery of the boards carried into the post season with an edge of 43-31.

We shall see how a four-day cooling off period affects the series. The teams will play in Game Two in Sioux Falls Monday and Game Three Tuesday if necessary.
