(AP) - Buddy Holly's motorcycle is now at the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports Jessi Colter, singer and widow of Waylon Jennings, presented the bike to the center last week. It's a limited-edition 1958 Ariel Cyclone, and The Crickets gave it to Jennings on his 42nd birthday in 1979.

Colter says she rejected a million offers for the motorcycle before going with George McMahan. She says his bid wasn't the highest, but she liked what he wanted to do with the bike.

It will be on display to the public beginning next Tuesday.
