Brad Paisley had a "magical" writing experience transforming Johnny Cash's "Gold All Over the Ground" poem into song form. Now, the beautiful ballad has a video of its own, and it brings the love between Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash to life.

Filmed at the Cash Cabin recording studio in Tennessee, the "Gold All Over the Ground" video finds Paisley entering the famous building where Cash used to record music. The location also boasts family photos and memorabilia that shares a glimpse into the Cash's life. Home videos of the legend, his time onstage and with his family are shown throughout the emotional three-minute clip, as are images of June and the pair together.

The poignant video closes with a visit to the gravesite where Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash are buried alongside an audio recording of Cash saying how his wife was the love of his life.

Paisley previously called the posthumous collaboration “absolutely one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever had the privilege of being a part of” in a video he posted to social media. As he explains, he got a call from Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, inviting him to set the poem to music.

“And I’d bundle you in kindness until you cling to me / We’d sit beneath strong branches / My arms would twine around / I’d turn your green to emerald / And give you gold all over the ground,” Paisley sings on the beautiful ballad.

The video for "Gold All Over the Ground" is part of Paisley's first-ever visual album for the recently-release audio album Love and War. On Friday (April 28), he will release the videos filmed for all 16 songs off his latest release. As he explained to Taste of Country, he edited many of the videos himself.
