The body of a missing duck hunter was recovered on Saturday (March 18) in Brush Lake, near Arlington, South Dakota.

KDLT News is reporting the body of 28-year-old Thomas Hill from Brush Lake was discovered around 3:40 that afternoon by a Brookings County resident who was flying in a privately owned helicopter over Brush Lake.

The pilot noticed a body in the lake from the air and notified the Brooking's County Sheriff's Office immediately. The sheriff's office was joined by members of the South Dakota Department Game Fish & Parks, Arlington Fire Department and the Arlington Ambulance Department in the recovery process.

Hill's body went missing back in early December after his boat capsized during a duck hunting trip with his brother.

The body of Hill's younger brother, Matthew, was recovered soon after the hunting accident occurred.

The family of Thomas Hill wishes to thank all individuals who participated in the recovery process, and everyone who provided support and prayers during this very difficult time. The family also plans to release a statement of their own at a later date.
