Body of a Man Found in a Field in Southwest Sioux Falls

An unidentified male body was found in a field in the southwest part of Sioux Falls on late Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the scene around 5:45 PM at 53rd street and the Tea Ellis road.

Nearly a dozen law enforcement vehicles from Sioux Falls and Minnehaha county responded.

The body was discovered in a field on the west side of Ellis road. A residential area is to the east of where the body was located.

The unidentified man's body was later placed in an ambulance and left the area around 9:15 PM.

The scene is still under investigation, but authorities say they do not suspect foul play at this time.
