(AP) - Bobby Vee hasn't performed since 2011 - because of Alzheimer's disease. But he has gone back to the studio - and the result is a new album, called "The Adobe Sessions."

The album features some of Vee's favorite songs from fellow artists like Gordon Lightfoot and Ricky Nelson. He says he decided to record again because he felt he "wanted to do some more music." Vee says he isn't shy about talking about how the disease has affected him; his speech is slowed and he often struggles to string sentences together.

Bobby Vee is best known for hits like "Take Good Care of My Baby," "Rubber Ball" and "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes."
