Black Hills Crash Kills Nebraska Motorcyclist
A Nebraska man died Monday afternoon in a car-motorcycle crash in the Black Hills.
The Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Paul Thomsen of Pender, Nebraska, was riding a motorcycle and going south on Nemo Road near Pine Drive, east of Nemo, when he met a northbound car driven by a Rapid City man.
The two vehicles sideswiped each other on a curve and as a result, Thomsen lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.
He was not wearing a helmet and he suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The other driver was not injured.
The crash happened just before 3:30pm Monday.
