The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls is celebrating its one year anniversary this week!

Melissa, who is one of the clients, says the facility and the staff members have changed her life.

"I don't even want to think about where my daughter and I would be right now if it wasn't for the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House. We would either be sleeping in my car or some place where we wouldn't want to be. My daughter would probably have been taken away from me. I just don't want to think about that stuff."

Chad Campbell is the facility's director.

It's easier to spread hope than it is to discourage somebody. I think that the staff here firmly believes we give our guests hope that tomorrow will be better. A lot of times it starts with just one day at a time. If today can be a little bit better than yesterday---we can build on that and make tomorrow a better place for everybody."

During the past year, Campbell says the Bishop Hospitality House has met the needs of 82 homeless families, which included 190 children.
