Billy Gilman's time on Team Adam will continue. The singer emerged victorious in his Battle Rounds performance on Monday night (Oct. 10), maintaining his spot on coach Adam Levine's team.

Gilman and fellow Team Adam member Andrew DeMuro together performed Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror." Readers can press play on the video above to watch the duet, and hear the other coaches' critiques.

"He's been professional since he was young," Levine said of his decision to keep Gilman on his team. "You're just drawn into what he's doing."

Gilman skyrocketed to stardom following the release of “One Voice,” his debut single, in 2000; he was 11 years old at the time, making him the youngest country artist to ever earn a Top 40 hit. Gilman’s album of the same name earned double-platinum status, but his following singles and albums did not achieve the same level of success. In November of 2014, Gilman revealed that he is gay — and called out the country music industry to support LGBTQ artists.

"It's been a struggle," Gilman said following his win on Monday night. "I just feel so happy, so validated, because that hasn't happened in a very long time."

Gilman first landed on Team Adam during The Voice's blind auditions. He performed Adele‘s “When We Were Young” and got all four judges to turn their chairs for him. Fans can continue to watch Gilman’s progress when The Voice airs weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 8PM ET.
