Bill Anderson will tell his life story in a new autobiography, Whisperin’ Bill Anderson: An Unprecedented Life in Country Music, that is set for release in September.

The 360-page book, which recounts Anderson's life and his accomplishments throughout his nearly 80 years on Earth, shares memories of his radio broadcasting days, his time on the Grand Ole Opry stage with other legends and being awarded BMI’s first country Icon Award.

“I sometimes look in the mirror and wonder how one man could have been so blessed to have crammed so much living into one lifetime. I see the gray on my temples, and instead of trying to hide it, I remember how much fun I had putting it there," Anderson says in a press release. "Writing it down for these pages was almost akin to living it again, though, and I probably need to take a deep breath, relax and go sit down in the corner. Come sit with me, bring the book, and let me tell you about it."

Whisperin’ Bill Anderson: An Unprecedented Life in Country Music, which features Grammy-nominated music producer Peter Cooper as a contributing writer, also includes rare photos of Anderson throughout his life.

Anderson's autobiography is scheduled for release on Sept. 1 and is available for pre-order through his official website.
