The title of the event says it all. A gathering is in the works to honor Ethan McMahon who died in the Sioux Falls building collapse.

Friday, January 6 which would be a mere five weeks since the landscape of downtown Sioux Falls forever changed. The Copper Lounge building came down with one man unable to escape.

Ethan McMahon left behind two young children, a fiancée and many relatives and friends. This upcoming event in his honor will raise funds for Ethan’s family.

From 4:00-8:00 PM Meadow Barn at Country Orchards (1690 Willow Street West) in Harrisburg will be filled with the strains of the Hegg Brothers and The Shamrockers. Food will also be offered and a free will donation will be taken for the benefit featuring a menu of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw with ice cream for dessert.

Sponsors such as HyVee, Land O’Lakes, Frito Lay, Sara Lee and Coca-Cola have stepped up to make this event possible. If you can find the time to step forward in support of a family in need, they would truly appreciate your help.
