It seems as if it has been a very long, cold winter.  So who wouldn't want to take a trip to the tropics?

Unfortunately a trip to the tropics might not be in your budget.  But you can help to beat the winter blues by taking a trip to the Sertoma Butterfly House & Marine Cove in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Saturday, January 17, 2015, the Sertoma Butterfly House & Marine Cove is hosting its annual 'Beat the Blues' event.  Families can get out of the cold and enter a Sioux Falls style of the tropics.

Not only will families be able to enjoy the beautiful sights of hundreds of Blue Morpho butterflies, but also take part in health and wellness activities that include yoga, tai-chi, sound healing with crystal bowls and Tibetan bowls and aromatherapy.

Executive Director Audrey Williard explains the importance of being able to get out of the cold and in to nature during the long, winter season.

Nature is healing for the mind, body, and soul. The warmth and beauty of the butterflies and aquariums help you relax and de-stress, creating anti-anxiety and anti-depressant health benefits.

A full schedule is available for the Beat the Blues event taking place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sertoma Butterfly House & Marine Cove.  All activities are included with admission or membership.
