Authorities Identify Man Killed in Crash near Lake Preston

LAKE PRESTON, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 38-year-old man who died in a single-vehicle accident in Kingsbury County.

Kristian Nuzum of Erwin lost control of the pickup truck he was driving near Lake Preston at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle went into a ditch and then struck a tree.

The Argus Leader reports that Nuzum was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.

South Dakota Highway Patrol will continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
