Country up-and-comer Aubrie Sellers has signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville.

The rising singer-songwriter, who is the daughter of Lee Ann Womack and her ex-husband, Jason Sellers, released her debut album, New City Blues, in January. She cites everyone from Led Zeppelin to Ralph Stanley as influences -- "all music that's driven, that's haunted, that cuts and moves" -- and calls her sound "garage country."

“When you combine the purity of Aubrie's voice, the gritty swagger of her delivery and her amazing and unique approach to songwriting, it’s no surprise that the competition to sign her to a major label was intense,” says John Esposito, Warner Music Nashville's chairman and CEO, in a press release. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that she chose to join our Warner Music Nashville family, and we are excited to join her already impressive musical journey.”

Sellers will celebrate her new record deal by playing Pickin' on the Patio on Wednesday (July 27), then heading out on tour on July 29. Her trek includes shows with David Nail, Jon Pardi, Anderson East and Chris Stapleton; a complete list of dates is available on her official website.

“I prefer to create friction. Because if you’re not pushing buttons, you’re just making something pleasant, it’s probably been done before ... and it’s not making anyone feel anything," Sellers comments of her music. "I’d rather my music be polarizing than everyone like it, because they rarely do. I think passion is a lot deeper than that. I want to go deeper, and be honest that life isn’t just some party and going out. I mean, don’t people feel anything?”

New City Blues is available for download via iTunes.
