DELMONT, S.D. (AP) — Authorities are investigating an apartment building fire in Delmont that they say is suspicious.

The Sunday afternoon blaze destroyed the four-unit building and displaced two people.

Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Wingert tells The Daily Republic newspaper that no one was in the building at the time and no one was hurt.

Wingert says the cause of the fire wasn't immediately determined, but the blaze is considered suspicious. The state Fire Marshal's Office and state Division of Criminal Investigation are involved in the probe.
