A motorcycle and trailer weren't the only property stolen this week from a storage lot in Sioux Falls.

Officer Sam Clemens says police received a report on Wednesday of tires and wheels stolen from a 2011 Ford Mustang in a unit at Sherman Self-Storage, in the 3800 block of South Grange Avenue.

Clemens says management noticed a lock missing on a storage unit and contacted the man who had leased it. He came and saw the wheels and tires had been stolen.

Clemens says it's believed the break-in and theft occurred around the same time as the earlier case, although the owner had not seen his car since February 1.

Police got a report on Tuesday that a 1981 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, tires and other parts had been stolen from another storage unit in the same lot, along with a utility trailer owned by the storage company owner, and surveillance video showed the theft occurring early Tuesday.

Clemens says the stolen wheels and tires are valued at $3,200.

The motorcycle and trailer were valued at a total of $31,000, with the cycle valued at $30,000 and the trailer at $1,000.
