Amazon Prime to Drop Price of Its Membership This Weekend

If you order a lot of stuff from Amazon, you NEED Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime gives users access to free two-day shipping, plus access to streamed movies, TV shows and Amazon’s original productions.

Amazon recently won two Golden Globe awards for its original series, Mozart in the Jungle. To celebrate, Amazon is temporarily discounting their Prime membership service.

Starting Friday January 15, at 9:00 p.m. PT and concluding at 11:59 p.m. local time, Sunday January 17, everyone can watch Mozart in the Jungle for free via the Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices and mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/mozartinthejungle.

Amazon will also offer Amazon Prime for just $73 starting this Friday at 9:00 p.m. PT and concluding at 11:59 p.m. local time, Sunday January 17 in celebration of its wins at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards

The normal price of a one year membership is $99.

Amazon currently has over 41 million U.S. Prime members. So, it’s kind of a big deal.
