Last year when Amazon debuted Prime Day, it promised to be bigger than Black Friday. (cue the wah-wah sound effect). It wasn't. As a matter of fact, it left several customers disappointed.

They're doing it again! This year, Amazon Prime Day is on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 (which will be the least productive work day that week). New and existing Amazon Prime customers will have access to 100,000 deals. Last year, new deals popped up every 10 minutes - this year they're releasing new items ever five minutes.

Staring at midnight Pacific time on July 12, 2016 you'll be able to search for toys, mobile devices, pet products, TVs and a whole lot more. More than double the small businesses from last year will participate which will add to the deals. For a sneak peek at some of the deals, click here.

Amazon will have "lightning deals" that only last a few hours, "spotlight" deals that last until the product runs out of stock, and all-day discounts. Starting July 5, 2016, Amazon will also offer "countdown" deals every day,

Not a Prime Member? No problem. Amazon is offering a free 30-day trial for non-members who want to take advantage of the one-day deals. Amazon Prime costs $10.99 per month or $99 per year after your trial and includes free 2-day shipping, instant access to video streaming so you can enjoy popular movies and TV shows, plus access to over 1 million songs, over 800,000 free ebooks and more.

You can sign up for a 30-day trial before Prime Day if you just want access to the sales; just remember to cancel your subscription afterward if you don't want to keep it.
