At Kansas City during the National NAFB Convention, we corned the CEO of AgStar, Paul DeBriyn, to get his input on some big agricultural issues. Paul is extremely knowledgeable with the industry and we always look forward to talking with him.

We began discussion on the topic of interest rates. Paul says, 'We are in an unprecedented period of of time right now, due to the actions of the Federal Reserve.' Paul explained this action in detail.

We presented Paul with the big question of whether there is going to be a Farm Bill by the end of the year. He tells us, 'It's 50-50.' He details why he sees that answer.

'Clearly, agriculture is a global economy,' answered Paul when I asked him about agriculture from a global perspective. He further made it clear that the industry would not be where it's at without exports.
