STURGIS, S.D. (AP) — City Council members in Sturgis have given final approval to a change in city zoning laws affecting the location of adult-oriented businesses.

KBHB radio reports that the change allows for such businesses to be located in an industrial zone west of town.

City Attorney Greg Barnier says it's in response to a lawsuit filed against the city by Dick and Jane's Naughty Spot in a dispute over that store's location.

Barnier says he hopes the zoning change will head off similar lawsuits in the future.
