Eleven meetings will be held across the state of South Dakota to address Social Security and Medicare during the upcoming summer season. It’s not exactly a recycling of the 2012 tour of South Dakota where AARP met with people in each county. The organization still feels, “You’ve Earned A Say.”

AARP feels that Social Security and Medicare are promises from the government that need to be kept. Some changes are being trumpeted within the halls of Congress. If approved, those adjustments will affect you. Thus the AARP intends to explain the ramifications of proposals and submit counterproposals. Sarah Jennings the State Director of the AARP and Erik Nelson Advocacy Director will meet multiple times to talk about it.
