The Green Bay Packers are a half-game out of first place, trailing Detroit and Chicago. Meanwhile, their star quarterback has been out since early November with a fractured collarbone. Today, the Packers could receive good news when he has scans on his left collarbone.

Rodgers had his last scan on December 3 and that test didn't show he was ready to take the field. Ten days later, the Packers are hoping for different results.

Rodgers also said on Friday he would have to get a lot of repetitions on Friday to play on Sunday.

The Packers play at Dallas on Sunday, then play at home vs. Pittsburgh, and at Chicago to close out the year.
