Sioux Falls officials say a downtown park is now better than ever.

Parks and Recreation officials say a $360,000 makeover of Lyon Park, at 14th and Phillips, is finished, and it's now accessible to everyone.

Lyon Park was regraded to lessen the slopes, and it now gives great views from north to south.

The project included an irrigation system, new historic lighting, picnic shelter, new swings and accessible pathways to all features of the park.

A celebration of the Lyon Park renovations will be held on Sunday, October 5, from 2 to 4:00 pm.
