(AP) - The town of Rocky Top, Tennessee, has settled a lawsuit with the holders of the copyright to the song "Rocky Top."

The town of Lake City changed its name to Rocky Top in 2014 to capitalize on the song with a massive tourist complex. House of Bryan Publications, which owns the trademarks for "Rocky Top," took the town to court. The two sides agreed to a settlement in which the town can use Rocky Top trademarks for noncommercial purposes, like to support the library or the fire department.

A separate settlement is still in the works with Rocky Top Tennessee Marketing and Manufacturing, which proposed the tourist complex.
