ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) — A judge in Aberdeen has set a $250,000 cash-only bond for a man facing a battery charge after a weeks-old baby was hospitalized.

The American News reports that 26-year-old Myron Touche Junior has been charged with aggravated battery of an infant.

Chris White is chief deputy state's attorney in Brown County. White says the baby is being treated for head trauma at a Sioux Falls hospital.

Authorities in court records say the incident that led to the baby's injuries happened Tuesday. Details of the incident were not immediately clear.

Touche is in custody at the Brown County Jail. It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
